Victor Luna, MSW

Vice President

Victor Luna is a Psychiatric Social Worker (PSW) for the Los Angeles Unified School District.  He has been assigned to Fremont High School for the last five years as a school purchase PSW.   Previously, Victor served as a Pupils Services and Attendance Counselor at Venice and Gardena High School.  Victor joined the board of Friends of School Mental Health in 2011.

Nany Jefferson, LCSW
LAUSD School Mental Health

Nancy began her career with the Los Angeles Unified School District in 1984 as a psychiatric social worker in School Mental Health. Since 2008 Nancy has served as an administrator where she oversees the operation of three clinics and wellness centers. In 1992 she co-founded the Coalition of Mental Health Professionals where she continues to serve on its advisory board.


Nancy is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s School of Social Work. She has spent more than three decades in the service of children and their families. In 2010 she joined the Board of Friends of School Mental Health. Nancy’s commitment to volunteerism also includes membership in the Association of Black Social Workers of Greater Los Angeles and Lambda Kappa Mu Sorority, Inc. with the belief that small efforts on the part of a few have the potential to reap rewards in the lives of many.

Suh Chen Hsiao, LCSW
University of Southern California

Suh Chen Hsiao, ACSW, PPSC, LCSW, a USC MSW alumna of 1990 and a former field instructor, is currently the Clinical Associate Professor & Assistant Director of Virtual Academic Center Field Education of USC School of Social Work. She is currently a Doctoral Candidate of USC Price School of Public Policy. Prior joining USC in 2010, she was the administrator of the School Mental Health Unit with Los Angeles Unified School District for ten years where she coordinated the school-based program and contributed to the development of the San Pedro Clinic as a Medi-Cal Rehabilitation clinic as well as the implementation of the evidenced-based practice “Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools”.


She has been a national and international presenter and aspires to expand social work education and profession in Asia through multiple academic collaboration and researches with faculty and universities. In 2014, she received the Golden Rainbow award for her exceptional contribution serving as a FSMH board member for ten years.
